Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
FlowTrux uses a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the platform, plus privacy-respecting analytics cookies to understand aggregate traffic to our marketing website. We do not use advertising, remarketing, or tracking cookies of any kind.
Cookies we set
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| __Secure-next-auth.session-token | Keeps you logged in | Until you close your browser |
| __Host-next-auth.csrf-token | Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks | Until you close your browser |
| next-auth.callback-url | Stores where to redirect you after login | Until you close your browser |
| admin_token | Authenticates admin sessions | 8 hours |
| cookie_consent | Remembers your analytics cookie choice (accepted or declined) | 1 year |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics - distinguishes visitors and sessions to measure aggregate site traffic | Up to 2 years |
The authentication cookies above are strictly necessary and always active. The Google Analytics cookies are the only non-essential ones we use.
Analytics and the consent banner
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic to our marketing website - things like which pages are visited and where visitors come from. We do not use it to build individual profiles, and we do not combine it with advertising or remarketing.
Under the ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)), cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you requested (like staying logged in) are exempt from consent. Analytics cookies are not exempt, so for visitors in the EU/EEA, UK, and Switzerland, analytics defaults to off until you accept the cookie banner. Outside those regions, analytics defaults to on but you can decline it from the same banner at any time. We still disclose all cookies here as required by GDPR transparency obligations (Article 13).
What we do not use
We do not use advertising, remarketing, or retargeting cookies. We do not embed social media tracking pixels. We do not perform cross-site tracking. We do not use browser fingerprinting or similar identification techniques.
Local storage
We use browser localStorage to save UI preferences such as panel sizes and theme settings. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can decline analytics at any time from the cookie banner, or view, manage, and delete any cookie through your browser settings. Be aware that blocking the authentication cookies listed above will prevent you from using FlowTrux, since they are required to keep you logged in.

If this changes
If we ever introduce advertising, remarketing, or other non-essential cookies beyond the analytics described above, we will update this policy and this banner accordingly.
